President of United States, Mr. Donald Trump stirs controversy once again by taking feud with the western media to a whole new level on Sunday morning. Trump tweets generally wreak havoc, but this time, Mr. President tweeted an edited video which shows him wrestling with a person whose face has been morphed with a CNN logo. While, the new stunt does not come as a surprise, but directly targeting a media conglomerate by superimposing CNN logo seems to be a big blow to Trump tweets and his credibility.

Earlier in 2007, a World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) event took place where Trump punched and body slammed Vince McMahon, the WWE Chairman.
Trump has been using Twitter to attack the western media since quite some time. Recently, he attacked Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski, the hosts of “Morning Joe”. Donald Trump recently made a call for national unity after the GOP congressmen shooting. However, in just a short time span of two weeks, Trump tweets challenged all notions of national unity leaving Representative Steve Scalise in an awkward position.
While Sarah Huckabee Sanders defends Donald Trump’s action as self-defense, it still does not justify the posting of such tweets that propagate violence. Using a company’s logo design for such a heinous act seems like a well-thought plan to spread violence and hatred.
However, as per Sanders, “The president in no way form or fashion has ever promoted or encouraged violence. If anything, quite the contrary. And he was simply pushing back and defending himself.”
A statement was published by Brian Stetler, the Senior Media Correspondent at CNN on Sunday morning which states that the behavior depicted by Trump is “far below the dignity of his office.”
This is not the first time that Trump has publicly disdained the media. However, using a company logo to vent out frustration was not expected from the President of United States. Earlier, Trump called the western media as an “enemy of the American people, where mainstream news conglomerate have been labelled as fake or failing.

The video with the CNN logo has not been taken as humor, rather a controversy has stirred with criticism poring left, right and center on Donald Trump.
CNN states, “It is a sad day when the President of the United States encourages violence against reporters.”
