Snapchat has become an increasingly popular app for all those who love posting pictures and short videos.
Snapchat’s parent company, Snap is being sued for using an eyeball logo for its Spectacles by Eyebobs, a glasses brand. Spectacles are funky sunglasses that were recently introduced by Snap. These glasses have a wireless built in camera. This camera syncs with a person’sSnapchat account. Spectacles are sold through vending machines called Snapbots at a price of $129.99. The first vending machine was placed at Venice Beach, California.
Eyebobs filed a trademark infringement lawsuit in the Minnesota’s District Court. It said it had registered the eyeball logoin 2008. To which Snap has not responded as yet.
Eyebobs said that the similarity between the two logos will confuse customers, and will make it difficult for them to differentiate between the two brands. Eyebobs not only wants Snap to stop using the eyeball logo, it also wants Snap to pay them an unspecified amount of money.

Well, this may be just my opinion, but this vending machine, logo and color theme reminds me of the minions!
Someone like me who was unaware of Snap’s Spectacles would probably think that the vending machine is selling something related to the minions.
