New London Underground Logo Design Unvieled – Mayor of London Sadiq Khan takes the first Ride!

Yesterday, the British Capital got its first 24 hour Tube Service for the London Underground.

Running on the Central and Victoria lines for the first time and then resuming on the Jubilee, Northern and Piccadilly lines in autumn, the night tube will offer 24 hours service on Saturdays and Sundays.

Since 2000 the number of passengers on a weekend have increased to around 70% stated TFL (Transport for London). 10 minutes would be the average run time across the lines and passengers will be charged standard off peak fares for the new service.

TFL additionally added that the service will play a significant role for at least 2000 employees supporting their jobs for the night time economy.

The London Underground Logo Design communicates from beyond the Earth itself, if you know what I mean. The depiction of the ‘galaxy’ & innumerable stars, correspond vividly of transportation to places afar.

The use of the customized Montserrat font or typeface exclusively brings the image to life, letting the masses know of the tube services dreamy location, along with the social media hashtag #NightTube.
