We all remember Kodak to be famous for cameras at a time when smartphones weren’t smart. Rooted in 1888 and Headquartered in Rochester New York United States of America, the Eastman Kodak Company known more popularly as ‘Kodak’ named after one of the co-founders George Eastman is an American Technology Company focuses on Imaging and its history revolves around photography. Kodak has ventured back in to the market with a new logo design & a smartphone release called Ektra – sa photography first phone. That being said, this was the perfect time for a rebrand and Kodak had a typographic iconic update with the aid of New York Based Design House ‘Work Order’.

Plus one of the new products by Kodak to let the world know what to expect:

To conclude, the design strikes immediate nostalgia within the minds of the consumers. Going back to the old logo perhaps symbolizes that the organization is with the people for what they want. Vertical Stacking of font is considered a No No with organizations, but to move forward again with this iconic identity, it takes a lot of courage and valor for Kodak to prove their mettle in iconic identities. Love the new logo and the return of Kodak!
