The NBA has changed the official uniform outfit from Adidas to Nike and most teams have unveiled their new look. The biggest change in this has been the etching of Nike Logo on the front of jerseys and shorts, a move which Adidas did not take.
Whereas, the other teams are using Nike’s swoosh on their outfit, the Charlotte Hornets have set “Jumpman” logo of Nike’s subsidiary, the Jordan Brand. This is allegiance of Hornets being Jordan’s own. While this logo has been used on several NCAA teams, it has been confirmed by ESPN’s Darren Rovell that Hornets will be the only team to be using the Jordan Brand. Despite this, it has been noticed that the opposite side of Hornet’s jersey does not has any advertising patches. This space is free for any sponsor or advertiser whilst the team wears Jordan’s Jumpman on front.

Charlotte’s star point guard Kemba Walker is all for the idea of Hornet’s outfit bearing Jumpman logo. In his words: “I mean, he’s the GOAT (Greatest of All Time). Everybody loves MJ. Everybody loves the way he completed and the way he carries himself.” While Jordan was not exclusively available to comment on the story; however, he has been praised lavishly for his savvy and longevity.
Jordan’s own team bearing his very own logo sets the perfect combination and enhances the legacy of basketball’s all-time great. He is indeed one of the most celebrated sportsman of all times and stands as an idol to most basketball players. Even, off the court, Jordan has done all the right things to maintain his stature as a gentleman athlete. He is one of the priciest athlete ever who has made nearly $1.7 billion since leaving University of North Carolina in 1984. Hornet’s new Jumpman logo will work wonders for the morale of team where he is the eternal champion.
