Interbrand has a New Company Logo Design and it looks Good!

Interbrand is a brand consultancy, with 29 offices in 22 countries.  It is part of the Omnicom Group Inc. Interbrand publishes Breakthrough Brands reports and Best Global Brands report annually, which identifies the world’s 100 most valuable brands. This month Interbrand unveiled its new company logo design.

The new logo has been composed in Helvetica. A number of brands including Facebook, Avis, Apple, Microsoft, Business Insider, and many others use Helvetica. Steve Hicks, the chief digital creative officer at McGarryBowen wrote in an essay that the typeface used by these brands will dominate the language of marketing and commerce.

Interbrand also renewed its logo on social networks. It reduced it, showing only the letter “I”. Let’s take a look at their Twitter and Facebook page.

Interbrand wanted to rebrand itself to reposition themselves in the dynamic marketplace. High risks were associated with changing or revamping the company logo design. A brand that works for other brands couldn’t afford to take a wrong step in changing their identity, as it would hurt their longstanding image badly.
