Fanta, being Coca-Cola’s second biggest brand, came into being in the 1940’s. It has evolved over the years in terms of flavor and the Fanta logo itself. The new Fanta logo coupled with a funky, twisted bottle gives it a unique look.
This year, Fanta lovers from all over the world, will get to experience their favorite drink with a new and refreshing twist. Fanta has not only changed its taste, but they have a new logo and a fascinating new bottle which has one-of-a-kind shape.

Another fun feature about the new Fanta logo is that a smiley face has been incorporated into the letter “A” which gives it a playful look in an elusive way. The colors were also updated to a brighter version. The change was made keeping in mind that Fanta is a drink which targets the multicultural youth to inspire the energetic spirit in all.
In an interview, the packaging innovator of Fanta said that there is a limit to which you can design a bottle. This is why, it took them almost two years to come up with this uniquely shaped bottle which is a first in the beverage industry; going against the traditional and symmetric design. The designer, Gregory Bentley’s drive to try something unique and out of the blue led him to design the new look.
The new flavor has a lower sugar recipe with 33 percent less sugar which got a mixed review from the audience. This was the first time, in over ten years, that the recipe was changed! However, there were many negative feedbacks of the new branding with people feeling that the hour glass shape is disrespectful to women and the low sugar content has an unpleasant artificial sweetener taste.
