It appears that Seattle Seahawks will now be using an alternative logo for the forthcoming football season. Just a few days before the football season for 2017 starts, the Seattle Seahawks have come up with a new look. The Seahawks had previously revamped the logo back in the year 2012. That was although simply a change of color from the meaner mug they had switched to in the year 2002. Prior to that, the Seahawks had been using the same logo they had since the team’s inception back in 1976.
The Seahawks presented a head-on variant of the team’s au fait logo through a Facebook post on Tuesday accompanied with a caption which read: “For everyone who’s ever wondered what it would be like to … stand face-to-beak with a Seahawk. Stay tuned for info on where you’ll see this new alternate Seahawks logo.”
The logo garnered attention both positive and negative. Fans gave mixed reviews about the logo. Calling the mascot akin to Grinch who stole Christmas and an Angry Bird. Seahawks’ New Alternative Logo looks as if the designer of the logo had taken inspiration from a totem pole. As opposed to the sidelong facing profile which the franchise has previously sported since its inception, this fresh, box headed Seahawk has you looking square in its face.
The new logo design was also spotted on caps of the players’ over the weekend. Chris Creamer furthermore reported that the new logo is going to be featured on the jerseys and hats which will are going to be sold to the general public. However, the logo is not expected to be used on the Seattle uniforms throughout the 2017 season.
